Die Diotec Semiconductor AG präsentiert zur PCIM eine neue Design-Idee sowie eine Applikationsschrift zum Thema LED-Ansteuerschaltungen. Die Design-Idee ist für Standard-LEDs gedacht, die typisch mit 20 mA betrieben werden. Die Applikationsschrift behandelt Treiber für Power- LEDs, deren Ströme im Bereich 350 bis 700 mA liegen. Solche Hochleistungs-LEDs sind mehr und mehr ein effizienter Ersatz für Halogen- und auch Energiesparlampen.

Standard-LEDs werden hauptsächlich als Anzeige-Elemente benutzt, neue Entwicklungen verwenden aber auch LED-Arrays als Ersatz für Neonröhren. Diotec stellt für alle diese Anwendungen eine Konstantstromdiode oder auch "Current Limiting Diode" (CLD) vor. Damit können Standard-LEDs mit nur wenigen Zusatzbauteilen direkt am 230V-Netz pykjslzvz gpnvuz.
