PrintCube® wins the 2020 German Innovation Award(PresseBox) (Eschborn, )
"Making innovations visible" - this is the motto of the German Design Council which annually awards the German Innovation Award. The special thing about it is that only companies that have been nominated in advance by the expert bodies and scouts of the German Design Council can participate. Submissions will be evaluated based on criteria such as the level of innovation, user benefit, cost-effectiveness, marketability or technical quality and function. The decision is made by an expert jury, which is made up of top-class experts in Industry, Science, Institutions, and Finance.
The Eschborn company di support has received several awards for the PrintCube®. This had already attracted international attention due to its unique function and design in 2018 and won the coveted Red Dot Award. Additionally, the PrintCube® received its most recent award with the German Design Award 2020 for the product category "Computer and Communication".
In view of the current COVID 19 pandemic, the award ceremony could not take place in the Berlin Museum of Technology. Nevertheless, it is a great honor for di support to receive this prestigious award.
The PrintCube® stands for a new era of instant printing and is aimed at today's camera - the smartphone. Since it was clear that the smartphone would become the new people's camera, the Eschborn-based specialist for imaging software had been developing a new type of instant print system for retailers. Printing photos should be as easy as sharing photos with your smartphone. With the PrintCube® you can design image products on your smartphone practically anywhere in the world, which can then be produced immediately in the store. Its unique design enables maximum usability of innovative functions. The elegant, compact device has no buttons and looks like a smartphone among the print stations.
di support managing director Ralph Naruhn: “We were extremely pleased with this award. di support stands for innovation and ingenuity. Even in the current very special time of the Corona Pandemic, it can be seen how a well-thought-out product like the PrintCube, which deals with the current technical conditions, generates real additional advantages for its users. With the PrintCube, customers no longer have to enter their print orders on publicly accessible touch displays. They can now do this on their own smartphone and start a contact-free print order. Real innovations always generate additional added value over the course of their life cycle. "
