Deutsche Post World Net wins Initiative Award on Professional Training for its “House of Finance” program
The initiative award presented by the Otto Wolff Foundation, the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the “Wirtschaftswoche” business magazine honors Deutsche Post’s program
"To offer the financial experts of Deutsche Post World Net around the world the best possible professional-growth and training opportunities, the Finance department teamed up with the human resources department to develop the House of Finance training program, which is designed to meet the specific requirements of the Group’s finance area," says Hendrik Vater, the head of the board office Finance and the director of the program. Employing an innovative concept of four different componential levels, "House of Finance" offers a wide variety of training and developmental opportunities that cover the areas of soft skills, business know-how and leadership skills. "The senior finance management in the finance department acts as a professional mentor in the individual training sessions and is responsible for the individual components used in the House of Finance, whose content and formats are designed to address business needs," Vater says.
