It is the first commercial vessel to be equipped with the SkySails technology. The multipurpose heavy-lift carrier will be making its maiden voyage from Bremen to Venezuela.

The technology

The SkySails System consists of a fully automatic towing kite propulsion and a wind-optimised routing system.
