4.3" Version of Intelligent Color-TFTs
demmel products further expands the product portfolio of its established intelligent monochrome and colored LCD panels (iLCD). With this 4.3"version, the range of panels from 3.5" to 10.2" will now consist of a total of 5 different color iLCDs. All 5 models have the same set of commands and electrical connections. If necessary, iLCDs of different sizes can easily be exchanged without modifying the hard- or software of the controlling application.
The 4.3" iLCD panel is equipped with a LED backlight and has a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels with a power supply of either 5 volt or 3.3 volt. A 32 MB flash memory is available to save fonts, graphics and macros and a micro SD cardholder can be used for future memory extensions. A battery-backed real-time clock, connection possibilities for a keyboard matrix, relays and signal transmitters as well as additional digital and analog inputs and outputs can simplify the application even further. The iLCD panel can be controlled via USB, RS232, I2C or SPI using high-level commands. Any low-cost microcontroller included in the existing application can operate the iLCD.
An evaluation board is available for the new iLCD which can also be used for the recently introduced 7" and 10.2" iLCDs.
A free Windows-compatible configuration editor is available as well making it unnecessary to learn a programming language.
demmel products' Next Generation "Intelligent LCD" (iLCD) technology enables the user to store all necessary Windows fonts, graphics, text templates and macros in the flash memory of the iLCD's controller. This considerably reduces the development time normally required for the pixel-based programming process of conventional LCDs. iLCD panels can be accessed through legacy control systems or operated by low-cost microcontrollers using high-level commands.
iLCDs are used in a wide variety of applications and industries. Customers include globally operating companies such as the Erich NETSCH GmbH & Co.Holding KG, Frog AGV Systems B.V. (HQ) or Re-Age Italia.
