Berlin, (PresseBox) - According to preliminary figures DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG (ISIN DE 005513907) managed to improve both sales and EBIT very significantly in the first - traditionally weakest in sales - quarter of 2008 compared to 2007.

Q1 2008 sales were EUR 14.6 million (previous year EUR 11.8 million) which means an increase of 24% vis-à-vis the prior year quarter. EBIT climbed by 40% to EUR 0.7 million compared to the prior year period with the classical music segment, events of our Swiss subsidiary and rising sponsoring income contributing significantly to the leap in profits. Sales and profit contributions of Raymond Gubbay Limited, the largest classical music promoter in the UK acquired in Q1, will start to be part of the consolidated financial statements in Q2.

The complete Interim Report will be posted at on May 28, 2008.
