Data Respons ASA : Q2-2016: Good growth and improved profitability
Operating revenue for the fourth quarter was NOK 263.2 million (228.6), a growth of 15 %. EBIT amounted to NOK 16.5 million (13.2). Operating cash flow was NOK 19.8 million (15.8). Order intake for the period was NOK 296 million (250).
Operating revenue for the first half year was NOK 506.8 million (469.8), a growth of 8 %. EBIT was NOK 28.6 million (27.7). Operating cash flow was NOK 24.3 million (17.4). Order intake for the period was NOK 608 million (512). The group's order backlog at the end of the quarter was NOK 779 million (755).
Strong momentum in R&D Services
- The positive development in the R&D Services sector continues, underlined by a growth of 25 % for the first half year. Both the Norwegian and our international operations have experienced increasing numbers of new assignments and innovative projects as well as having a record high utilization throughout the quarter. Both large blue-chip companies as well as start-up's focus their product development towards new opportunities within in industrial digitalisation, Ragnvaldsen says.
Digitalization and IoT provides opportunities
Data Respons started the year with a strong order intake and signed many important contracts. Common dominators are increased digitalisation of industrial products and systems. Our breadth of expertise from sensor to final APP make us a vital player in this market. The driving forces in the market are more mobility, increased robotising, the digitalisation of society and IoT - areas in which we have extensive competency and many exciting services and solutions to offer, Ragnvaldsen says.
Expect a good development ahead
- The quarter showed good growth, improved profitability and a healthy cash flow. The positive development in the R&D Services sector compensate for the demanding Oil & Gas and Maritime markets in Products & Solutions. Overall, the group has high activity levels and a solid order reserve, which provides a good foundation for 2016, Ragnvaldsen concludes.
