Data Modul develops, manufactures and distributes innovative flat displays, monitors, electronic sub-assemblies and complete systems. The generally pleasing business development in the year 2006 was continued in the fourth quarter. The conscious shift of the product mix to the more profitable segments in the Corporation led to results that exceeded our expectations. The EBIT increased by 200 % to 6.2 million euros (from 2.1 million euros last year). In total, revenues of 152.8 million euros were achieved (from 158.1 million euros last year. The slight decline in revenue development was due to the decision not to pursue large volume business with multi-media products. The order backlog amounted to 76.6 million euros, or 4.9 % above last year. Especially noteworthy is the revenue expansion of 27.1 % in the profitably strong business segment of Industry to 95.7 million euros. An even better improvement in revenues and profits was achieved in the business segment of Information Systems. The total after tax profits for the year increased by 448 % to 4.0 million euros (from 0.73 million euros last year). The earnings per share increased to 1.25 euros (including a special tax effect of 0.27 euros per share) compared to 0.23 euros in the previous year. A dividend of 0.50 euros (0.20 euros last year) for the fiscal year 2006 will be recommended at the Annual ShareholdersS^ Meeting on May 9, 2007. With a distribution of 1.6 million euros our shareholders receive an attractive dividend with a yield of about 4.5 % (based on the share price in January 2007). The acquisition of a sales organisation in France and the founding of sales companies in Spain and Italy were the key points of strategic international growth in 2006.
