Danfoss acquired PowerLynx in March this year to make solar inverters a new business area for the Group. At the EU PVSEC in Milan 3-6 September, Danfoss Solar Inverters (PowerLynx A/S) introduces its new range of inverters and monitoring solutions for residential and commercial applications.

The Danfoss Group has 20.000 employees worldwide – and 40 years of experience in power electronics technology

Danfoss Solar Inverters’ Managing Director Henrik Raunkjær: “With this move Danfoss takes the first step to become a leading player in the photovoltaic industry. It is well known that Danfoss strives to be among the leaders in its business areas”. The Danfoss Group is one of the largest industrial companies in Denmark with net sales of around DKK 20 billion and more than 20.000 employees worldwide. Danfoss has 40 years of experience in power electronics technology and an annual production of more than 600,000 frequency converters. Frequency converters and PV inverters are technologically closely related, sharing 80-90% of their components.

PowerLynx has been in the PV business since 2002

Before being acquired by Danfoss, PowerLynx has solely been a private label manufacturer of PV inverters. The company has succeeded in building a strong position in the market by offering a unique product and support concept. With the introduction of Danfoss Solar Inverters, Danfoss will follow a dual market strategy. Alongside maintaining and further strengthening the private label business with a new three-level Private Label Package, Danfoss introduces a complete Danfoss branded inverter range.

Introduction of new 10-15 kW TripleLynx inverter – new levels of performance and versatility

Danfoss Solar Inverters introduces its new 3-phase grid connected inverter in the power range 10 to 15 kW at the Milan exhibition. The new product range is designed to set new standards in the photovoltaic business and offers outstanding benefits in terms of energy output, versatility and ease of installation.

With a max DC voltage of 1000V and a MPP voltage of 250-800V the transformer-less TripleLynx is the new benchmark inverter in the market. It has three-string input, three-phase output and a max efficiency of 98%. And the weight of 15 kW is only 30 kg, so it can be wall mounted.

Comprehensive inverter and monitoring range for both residential and commercial applications

Danfoss Solar Inverters offers a complete program ranging from 1.8 to 15 kW. Apart from the new TripleLynx range for commercial applications the 1.8-5.4 kW UniLynx range for indoor and outdoor residential applications and the ComLynx monitoring solutions are also presented in Milano.
