DAHON Hosts Asian Distributor Conference in Pattaya

DAHON's sales conference expanded with regional events, with the first event held in in Pattaya, Thailand, being a great success

World leader in folding bikes, DAHON, held its Asian Distributor Conference (DADC) from 21st- 22nd, April at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, Pattaya, Thailand. In an expansion of the DIDC concept which has proven successful for DAHON over the years, this year DAHON utilizes regional events to better connect with distributors; first in Asia and then in Europe, under the umbrella of a global conference.

This first conference in Pattaya was a chance for DAHON to gather together its Asian distributors to meet, connect and discuss all things DAHON. 14 distributors from eight countries including Malaysia, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines attended DADC. The conference introduced the distributors to the new 2015 DAHON range, with test rides and product demonstrations. The chance to test ride the bikes is always a highlight of the show, as the distributors can get a feel for the new models and to take them through their paces. All distributors showed great interest in the latest models, with a high volume of pre-orders expected. The test ride was also a hit with the local Thai media who were invited along to the conference.

Next month the DEDC will be held in Prague, the Czech Republic, and will continue the success of the Asian conference, bringing together the European distributors to connect, converse and collaborate on DAHON's future, building on the Asian conference's success.

Of particular note and interest in Pattaya were several new and updated models for the 2015 range, which grabbed the attention of the distributors and press during the test ride. The Qix, Curl, Clinch and EEZZ models being notable highlights with their innovative design features and smooth ride being popular with both distributors and press.

Henry Hon opened proceedings with a welcome speech reinforcing DAHON's mission towards a sustainable environment, strengthening the partnership with the distributors and pitching future strategies. DAHON's global marketing plan was also presented to the distributors, by Ky Lui, with the chance afterwards to take part in a group discussion.

An award ceremony was also held during the conference to recognize the hard work of the distributors in promoting the DAHON brand. With awards going to the Best Sales Performance, Best Sales Growth and Best Overall Partner.

The three day conference concluded with a splendid meal at the Royal Cliff Hotel and afterwards some local Thai entertainment.
