The Benteler Group is internationally active with its business divisions Automotive, Steel/Tube and Distribution. Since its foundation in 1876, four generations of the family have contributed to shaping the Group, which is still in family ownership today, and now one of the largest industrial enterprises in Germany. Branded as Rothrist, the Precision Tubes Division is committed to being the technology leader and expanding its strong global position as a supplier of precision tubes for gas springs, vehicle parts, structural members and shock absorbers for automotive applications. These efforts are founded on proactive marketing and market development, manufacturing facilities second to none in the industry and a comprehensive range of additional tube processing services to meet customers’ specific requirements. In 2007, Rothrist with its workforce of some 570 in production facilities and operational companies in Switzerland, Germany and the USA is expected to generate sales of approximately CHF 250 million.
