Daetwyler outsources ICT infrastructure to Siemens

Altdorf, (PresseBox) - The international Daetwyler Group is outsourcing its ICT infrastructure to Siemens IT Solutions and Services (SIS). The full outsourcing agreement covers the operation of the computer centres, networks, workplace services and user help desks for all four divisions worldwide. The agreement commences when the services start on 1 January 2010 and has been entered into for five years.

Outsourcing will allow Daetwyler's ICT infrastructure to be centralised, consolidated and standardised as part of a transformation process. This will provide a more flexible future ICT environment for adjustments in business processes and capacities. As a result, the Group expects to generate cost savings in ICT operations, while improving ICT service quality. ICT core competencies, comprising management, development and enhancement of custom applications such as ecommerce systems and SAP, will remain within the Daetwyler Group.
