Company Announces "Roaming Mad" Story Competition - Consumers Win Vouchers for Stories about High Mobile Roaming Rates

Ireland, (PresseBox) - Cubic Telecom, a leading provider of global-roaming solutions for the consumer and enterprise market, today announced a global competition for its growing consumer base. Consumers who send "horror stories" stories about high roaming rates will automatically receive a EUR5 voucher off a MAXroam SIM. Cubic will award ten EUR50 vouchers to consumers with the highest monthly roaming bills. The best story received, will win an Apple iPod Touch.

"Practically anyone who has travelled with a mobile phone has a story to tell," said Sean O'Mahony, Cubic Telecom's Chief Commercial Officer. "It's time we publicise those stories and rewards consumers for sharing them - it will not only help us as a company, but help further educate the market on the problem we have set out to solve."

The competition comes at a time when Cubic is getting substantial validation for its own roaming solution. In a related announcement, Cubic announced that it will accelerate production of its popular MAXroam product, a universal SIM card that enables global travellers to get significantly lower roaming rates in more than 160 countries.

"The MAXroam product - the company's first - has been a great success," said O'Mahony. "Not only are direct sales from our Web site going up weekly, but we have also received numerous inquiries from distribution partners who have the reach to bring MAXroam to the global marketplace."
