Cube Optics announced that it has received RD Telecommunications acceptance from the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for its Network Cube line of WDM fiber Mux/Demux and add/drop multiplexer products. Network Cubes are deployed in over 30,000 locations worldwide to remedy fiber exhaust, service migration of SONET, ATM or TDM service to Ethernet, and expansion of mobile backhaul fiber capacity. The products are passive and multiply the connections possible on existing single or dual fiber links.
