The Crown Worldwide Group, a worldwide leader of global mobility, relocation services, information management and high value logistics, announced that its vice president for Quality and Risk Management has completed the certification process for Risk Management.

Gary Maguire successfully completed the five examinations required to become a certified risk manager (CRM). Each course entails approximately three days of instruction, followed by an optional examination. The CRM designation qualifies managers to handle all areas of managing risks, hazards, and exposures.

A certified risk manager is knowledgeable about identifying, analyzing, controlling, financing, and administering operational risks as well as political risks, catastrophic loss exposures, thirdparty exposures, fiduciary exposures, employee injury exposures, juridical risks, legal risks, and more. The skills learned make the manager more proactive and valuable to an organization.

Maguire has been working for Crown since 1991. He commented on his role and accomplishment saying: "The rigorous training and testing I have undergone to receive the CRM designation strengthens my ability to ensure that Crown implements best in class procedures to properly plan for the enterprise risk it faces as a company with a global presence, while ensuring that we are a stable partner our clients can count on at all times. I'll be able to help Crown move beyond simply mitigating and financing its risk."

Maguire's certificate was issued in December 2009, by Certified Risk Managers Internationalan organization that operates in association with the National Alliance for Insurance, Education and Research. According to the Alliance, it is the nation's leading professional insurance and risk management education resource.
