Die Comtec Crystals Group bietet ab sofort einen noch kleineren Keramik-SMD-Quarz, den CM2520, in verschiedenen Frequenzen an. Dieser Quarz in SMD-Bauform misst gerade 2,5 x 2,0 mm, mit eine Bauhöhe von 0,55 mm. Wegen seiner geringen Grösse eignet er sich für viele Applikationen in dem "klein sein" ein wichtiger Faktor ist. Durch seine 4-pad-Ausführung besitzt dieser Quarz ein gutes EMV -Verhalten, da die Lotpads #2 und #4 am Gehäuse geerdet sind. Dieser Quarz ist erhältlich in den Frequenzen vom 16 bis 80 MHz, mit einer Arbeitstemperatur von -40°C bis +85°C.
