New gameplay features of Medieval-RPG Skjera revealed

Lead-Designers at Chrysalis Games publish new material on the upcoming Viking game

Chrysalis Games revealed new gameplay features of the current development title Skjera, a medieval-themed viking roleplay which will be developed for Computer and Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

According to a newly published developer post on the official Chrysalis Games website, Skjera will be released end of 2021 for Computer, later published throughout Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The Developer also confirmed the development for the upcoming Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The latest posting revealed some of the gameplay features within the RPG such as fully customizable character editor with additional settings to chose from different background settings which will affect the character gameplay within the storyline.
Chrysalis Games also confirmed that Skjera will have a sort of Settlement customization and enhancement system which will allow the player to actively distribute to the Settlement enhancement with additional sidequests and stories.
As reported within the developer post, the developers did research and studies the historical facts of the medieval era in northern europe as inspiration to a vast and immersive gameplay.
Nevertheless, lead designer Daria Ljenko underlines that it is not intended that the locations and settings from the respective Viking era are 100% accurate, since a background that is too realistic also has negative aspects and the team will create a balancing between realism and a Fantasy Environment.

According to the official statement of the studio, Skjera is aimed to be released end of 2021 and will be shipped with a Day-One Patch including a first, not further explained DLC.
If and when the Developer will start a crowdfunding campaign such as Kickstarter was not further explained in the report.
