Axio CSM 700 from Carl Zeiss

Jena / Stuttgart, (PresseBox) - The confocal microscope Axio CSM 700 from Carl Zeiss for materials research, quality inspection and routine applications enables non-contact, high-precision measurement of even fine roughness on relatively "soft" surfaces. The microscope displays surfaces three- dimensionally with high resolution and in true color. With this microscope, Carl Zeiss meets users' demands for a fast and reliable instrument with an outstanding price/performance ratio. Despite its high functionality, the microscope is easy to operate. The well thought-out ergonomic benefits are particularly reflected in the control panel which was designed to set the capture parameters.

The high-quality ZEISS optics not only enable precise measurements of 3D microstructures, but also high-quality determination of roughness, e.g. in material examinations on LCD panels, semiconductors, color filters, glass, polymers and metals. Highly accurate 3D images in true color provide users with additional, important information. Topographical measurements are performed at up to 117 frames per second. Further benefits include the reliable detection of height information with step heights from approx. 20 nm up to the millimeter range, as well as images with a depth of focus otherwise only possible with scanning electron microscopes.

The easy-to-use software provides numerous analysis options, including the measurement of roughness, evaluation of layer thickness and particle analysis.
