CAN in Automation (CiA) veranstaltet am 18. März 2014 ein CAN-/CAN-FD-Seminar in seinen Räumlichkeiten in Nürnberg. In diesem eintägigen Seminar wird neben dem klassischen CAN-Protokoll auch das kürzlich eingeführte, verbesserte Protokoll CAN-FD behandelt. CAN-FD erlaubt höhere Übertragungsraten und gestattet deshalb auch längere Datentelegramme. Selbstverständlich wird auch auf den CAN-Transceiver eingegangen und es werden die Einsatzgebiete des CAN anhand praxisbezogener Beispiele gezeigt.

Am darauffolgenden Tag, den 19. März 2014, findet in Nürnberg ein CANopen-Seminar für Einsteiger statt. CANopen basiert auf dem robusten und zuverlässigen CAN-Protokoll und wird in unterschiedlichsten Anwendungen eingesetzt, u. a. in industriellen Maschinensteuerungen, Eisenbahnen und Medizingeräten.
