Die Automobilindustrie hat sich geeinigt. Für die Ausstattung von Sonderfahrzeugen wurde eine einheitliche elektronische Schnittstelle festgelegt. In Zusammenarbeit zwischen Fahrzeug- und Geräteherstellern einigte man sich auf eine CAN-basierende Lösung. Unter der Schirmherrschaft des eingetragenen Vereins CAN in Automation (CiA) mit Sitz in Nürnberg wurde das CANopen-Profil CiA 447 entwickelt. Es erlaubt eine einfache Integration von Geräten für Taxis (z. B. Taxameter) und Einsatzfahrzeuge (z. B. Blaulicht und Martinshorn) sowie für körperbehinderte Fahrer. Der CiA veranstaltet am 2. Mai ein Seminar, in dem diese CANopen-Schnittstelle im Detail erläutert wird. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Entwickler von Zusatzgeräten sowie an Fahrzeugausrüster, die lgnmn Xiunzj efxgraje.
