CANopen-Profil für "Weihnachtsbäume"

CiA (CAN in Automation) hat die Version 2.1 des CANopen-Profils für Unterwasser-Instrumente herausgegeben. Unterwasser-Steuerungen und die zugehörigen Sensoren und Meter werden auf dem Ozeangrund installiert und überwachen die Bohrungen nach Erdgas und Erdöl. Der Spitzname für diese Systeme lautet: "Weihnachtsbaum". Die aktualisierte Version umfasst nur wenige funktionale Erweiterungen sowie einige Klarstellungen und Korrekturen. "Das Profil CiA 443 ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür, wie Firmen von standardisierten Schnittstellen profitieren können," erklärte das geschäftsführende CiA-Vorstandsmitglied Holger Zeltwanger. "Die Anbieter von Instrumenten müssen nur eine Kommunikationstechnik unterstützen und können trotzdem verschiedene Bohrinsel-Betreiber beliefern." Die Profil-Spezifikation wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem SIIS-Konsortium erarbeitet.
