CANopen-Geräteprofil für RFID Geräte veröffentlicht

Die internationale Anwender- und Herstellervereinigung CAN in Automation (CiA) e. V. hat das CANopen-Geräteprofil CiA 445 für RFID-Lese-/-Schreibgeräte veröffentlicht. Ziel des Profils ist es, die Systemintegration von RFID-Lesegeräten zu vereinfachen, die z. B. in Netzwerken in der Fabrikautomatisierung, Laborautomatisierung, in medizinischen Systemen, Produkt- und Anlagenverwaltung, Ident-Systemen, usw. verwendet werden.
Das Geräteprofil macht CiA 445 konforme RFID-Geräte von verschiedenen Herstellern mit sehr geringem Zeit- und Konfigurationsaufwand miteinander austauschbar.

Ein RFID-System (radio frequency identification,
Radiofrequenz-Rückverfolgungssystem) besteht aus drei Teilen: dem RFID-Transponder, dem RFID-Lesegerät (liest und schreibt optional drahtlos vom/zum Transponder) und einer externen Anwendung, z.
