caatoosee with several awards for innovative IT products and service

Leonberg, (PresseBox) - The IT specialist caatoosee received several awards in the current financial year for its innovative products and services as well as for IT expertise. The DQworkbench and the Teraport Compact Center convinced the Initiative Mittelstand jury for the 2008 Innovation Prize. Both products received an award. An additional demonstration for the high IT competency and quality is the certification of the subsidiary Teraport as Microsoft Certified Partner. In the field of engineering the digital mockup software solution, DMU Toolkit, has been taken up as a vendor member of the Siemens PLM JT-Open program. In addition, the Teraport DMU Toolkit Release 3.2 received an award as an innovative product in the context of the INDUSTRIEPREIS 2008.

In the fifth year of the Innovationspreis der Initiative Mittelstand (Innovation Price for the German SME Initiative), 1,600 companies took part in this year's competition for PR and marketing services with a value of EUR 150,000. A top class jury consisting of professors, industry experts, specialist journalists and scientists selected the winners.

In the "Office" category, caatoosee ag received one of the few awards for DQworkbench. In addition to the awards received, particularly interesting products and solutions were given a special mention. With DQworkbench it is possible to integrate several data sources and to compare them against each other, using a simple and user-friendly interface. The program is based on the intelligent error-tolerant (fuzzy) search by the caatoosee DQengine which allows the analysis of all types of structured data (including address and material master data) as well as identifying similar data records. In post-processing these can be manually or automatically cleaned. This improves data quality and transparency across the whole of the company.

For its compact and mobile computer centre, the subsidiary Teraport received an award as "Innovation Product 2008". The Teraport Compact Center convinced the jury with its innovation, benefit and suitability for use in small and medium-sized companies. The Teraport Compact Center (TCC) received an award in the "Hardware" category. The basis of the decision was the high level of innovative content (novelty, product maturity and future-orientation), its recognisable benefit (impact on profitability, improved efficiency) and suitability for SMEs (relevance, practicability, implementation). With the Teraport Compact Center (TCC), the Leonberg-based company offers a mobile "server room". In compact form, it bundles the entire infrastructure, with routers, switches, uninterruptible power supply, ventilators etc. and covers all IT functions (file/print and mail servers, domain controller, LAN/WLAN/VoIP, storage and backup). The TCC has demonstrated its capability in practise for years - also in difficult use on construction sites or when covering for capacity peaks. The otherwise normal construction measures for providing a fixed computer room, including the necessary IT infrastructure for bulky 19-inch server racks, complex cabling and similar are no longer necessary. For the TCC a simple network connection is enough. Very practical: when a move is make, the plug & play solution can be taken into operation immediately, without any installation work.

Since the beginning of this year, Teraport has also been a Microsoft Certified Partner. The award is an expression of the high specialist expertise and IT qualification. In the multi-level Microsoft Partner Program, Teraport has thus received the second-highest partner status. In this way Microsoft confirms to caatoosee ag its high specialist expertise and its extraordinarily good qualification as a specialist in its core area of IT technology. To obtain an independent opinion, Microsoft talked personally to the reference customers and had the Teraport services explained.

With the products in the field of engineering, successes have been achieved in the current 2008 financial year. With the digital mockup software solution, DMU Toolkit, the company has been taken up as a new vendor member in the Siemens PLM JT-Open program. This exclusive program offers an open platform for the use of 3D data across the entire product life cycle. This has strengthened the market position of the company in the field of engineering, providing further demonstration that the software is absolutely open and can be deployed in heterogeneous worlds.

In addition, the current Teraport DMU Toolkit Release 3.2 was given an award as an innovative product in the context of the INDUSTRIEPREIS 2008. With the INDUSTRIEPREIS 2008, the Initiative Mittelstand is already looking for the third time for the most innovative products and solutions from industry which demonstrate a particularly high level of level and high functionality.

With Release 3.2, an innovative further development of the software module for Digital Mockup (DMU) applications was again realised successfully. With the combination from engineering expertise deployed in development projects for the automobile industry and the latest software technology, the DMU Toolkit has been a software market leader. It is a technology which has become established in the area of maturity level controlling in the digital product creation process. Numerous innovations and optimisation such as DMU.Hardcopy to provide batch screenshots and DMU.Planner with minimum intervals were implemented in the new Teraport DMU Toolkit release.

For the Leonberg IT company, the awards for products and service confirm the strategy which is being followed. "We offer medium-sized companies reliable solutions which cover their requirements in an optimum fashion. For this reason, we are extraordinarily pleased by the awards received for our products and services and see ourselves as well prepared for future market requirements," stated Guido Alt, CEO at caatoosee ag.
