Österreich will Luftverkehrssteuer um 50 Prozent senken

Zu den Plänen der österreichischen Bundesregierung in ihrem Arbeitsprogramm 2017/2018, die Luftverkehrsteuer ab 2018 zu halbieren, erklärt Matthias von Randow, Hauptgeschäftsführer des Bundesverbandes der Deutschen Luftverkehrswirtschaft:

„Wir begrüßen diese Entscheidung der österreichischen Bundesregierung. Es ist ein wichtiges Signal zum Abbau von wettbewerbsverzerrenden Sonderlasten und zur Stärkung des Luftverkehrsstandortes Österreich. Es ist auch ein deutliches Signal für Deutschland diesen nationalen Sonderweg ebenfalls zu beenden.“

Der Bundesverband der Deutschen Luftverkehrswirtschaft (BDL) wurde 2010 als gemeinsame Interessenvertretung der deutschen Luftverkehrswirtschaft gegründet. Mitglieder des Verbandes sind Fluggesellschaften, Flughäfen, die Deutsche Flugsicherung und weitere Leistungsanbieter im deutschen Luftverkehr. Die Mitgliedsunternehmen beschäftigen mehr als 180.000 Mitarbeiter.
