(PresseBox) ( Eindhoven, )
This weekend the Dutch Technology Week will start, and it's packed with a fantastic program with something interesting, fun, fascinating, and challenging for everyone.

During the week high-tech companies, schools, and research facilities will show you things and bring you places you normally don't get to see. There will be events that will combine a good dose of humor with informative demonstrations and workshops. There will be conferences and meetings where the top of the innovative and entrepreneurial Netherlands will come together. In short, the Brainport Eindhoven Region will be buzzing the whole week with events that will draw a huge crowd. In 2013 a staggering 22.000 visitors came to see and participate in more than 40 events. This year we are expecting an even bigger crowd, which we will treat to a versatile program where visitors (youngsters, students, professionals, and technology fans) can actively take part in.

Program with a big WOW!-Factor

Professionals get to know 'physical word coming online' during Digital-Physical Blur, or get informed about the privacy conditions on new technology during Look who's watching: the Privacy and Google Glass event. Get acquainted with de seven candidates of NextOEM, the high-tech accelerator program for promising and ambitious growth companies, or get up to date with the newest trends at Smart Living. During the seminars Innovating with the correct strategy and Open innovation: be smart you will hear everything to improve the efficiency on innovation. And even professionals will be amazed by the WOW!-Factor of high-tech companies and institutions during the High Tech Discovery Route on the 24th of May.

But there's lots more to discover about the 'Wonders of engineering' during this edition. More than 1000 primary school pupils will visit the AutomotiveCampus during the AutoTech event. Families will join the TU/eXperience Public day or see the final of the Eureka!Cup during the Eureka!Day. Youngsters will go crazy during Night of the Nerds, and students and young professionals will go head to head in the Quiz Night XL.

Passion for technology

The Dutch Technology Week takes place in the Brainport Eindhoven Region, a region that has recently been labeled world's Smartest Region and was named by the Financial Times as one of the most attractive regions to invest in. In the ranking (fDi index) the Brainport Region finished third behind London and Helsinki. Because of all of this, the region is a magnet to many students, talents, knowledge workers, entrepreneurs, and investors from all over the world. Together they share a passion for technology. The Dutch Technology Week makes this passion visible, shows that technology is challenging and surprising, and above all is within grasp for everyone.
