As both a molecular biologist and marketing expert, Dr. Thomas Grieshammer is the ideal candidate for the newly created position of Project Manager at BioRegio STERN Management GmbH.

At the beginning of October, Dr. Thomas Grieshammer (45), born in Essen, Germany, joined the team at BioRegio STERN Management GmbH as Project Manager. He studied biology with a focus on molecular immunology in Würzburg. His first job on obtaining his doctorate was at medical publishers Georg Thieme in Stuttgart, where he specialised in marketing. He then joined Ulmer Verlag, also in Stuttgart, where he took charge of corporate communication. Dr. Grieshammer is excited about his move to BioRegio STERN Management GmbH as Project Manager: "This new post involves both aspects of my professional career - molecular biology and marketing - on an equal footing. I am also looking forward to playing an active role in shaping the future of the Neckar-Alb and Stuttgart health region."

Managing Director of BioRegio STERN, Dr. Klaus Eichenberg, is extremely pleased with the extra support his team is gaining: "Dr. Grieshammer meets all our requirements - in-depth education and training, finely honed skills in both scientific and commercial disciplines and a passion for the life sciences sector." In addition to coordinating the establishment of the new Users' Centre for Regenerative Medicine in the Neckar-Alb and Stuttgart health region, REGiNA, Dr. Grieshammer will also be responsible for organising the fourth international "BioStar" congress, which will be taking place in Stuttgart in the coming year.
