(PresseBox) (Zug, ) BIOPETROL INDUSTRIES AG, Switzerland-based producer of biodiesel and highquality pharmaceutical-grade glycerine, today announced the appointment of Maarten Roelfs as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Roelfs replaces Klaus Henschel, who has decided to stand down to pursue other opportunities after leading the Group to this stage and following the successful completion of the recent significant change in ownership. Mr Roelfs has been Chief Financial Officer of BIOPETROL INDUSTRIES AG since March 2010. His appointment as CEO takes place with immediate effect.

Ernest Mostert, Chairman of BIOPETROL INDUSTRIES AG, said today: "I would like to thank Klaus for the outstanding contribution he has made to the Group as CEO.
His strong leadership and determination have been instrumental to the development of BIOPETROL, and without him the Group would not have progressed nearly as far and as fast as it has. His guidance of the company during a recent significant change of ownership was exemplary, making the transition exceptionally smooth for all parties. The Board respects his wish to now move on to other challenges." Mr Roelfs said: "I look forward to leading BIOPETROL INDUSTRIES AG into the next stage of our development as we work to become a major European producer of biodiesel."
