Januar bis September 2008: Gut ein Prozent mehr Strom verbraucht

Schalttag und gute Auslastung der Industrie bewirkten Verbrauchsanstieg / Investitionen in Energieeffizienz dämpfen Zuwachsraten

Die deutsche Energiewirtschaft verzeichnete in den ersten drei Quartalen 2008 ein leichtes Plus beim Stromverbrauch: Mit 409,9 (drei Quartale 2007: 405,6) Milliarden Kilowattstunden lieferten die Unternehmen gut ein Prozent mehr Strom an die Kunden als im entsprechenden Vorjahreszeitraum. Das ermittelte der Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft (BDEW), Berlin, nach ersten Erhebungen.

Für den Verbrauchszuwachs nennt der Branchenverband insbesondere zwei Gründe: So sei die Industrieproduktion im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum um 3,9 Prozent gewachsen. Außerdem habe der Schalttag im Februar eine zusätzliche Stromnachfrage bewirkt.
