BBS reinterprets the Y-spoke: New XR design goes on sale in the fall
Latest addition to the BBS Design Line
Optional Collision Protection ring
18-inch sizes in Platinum Silver Gloss finish at launch
19-inch sizes with diamond-turned finish in preparation
Traditional yet modern, conservative yet innovative: The new BBS XR blends these extremes into one wheel. With its seven distinctive Y-spokes, and classic BBS deeply dished centre the XR re-interprets the traditional design language of Germany’s premium wheel manufacturer in a fresh and modern form. The fourth wheel in the BBS ‘Design Line’ the XR can be optionally equipped with the patented Stainless Steel Collision Ring previously reserved for BBS ‘Performance Line’ wheels. Designed to protect the wheel from ‘kerb rash’ this polished Stainless Steel Collision Ring can be quickly and easily replaced to return the wheel to pristine condition. Although the wheel does not have to be removed from the car for the protection ring to be replaced, it is recommended practise.
‘Made in Germany’, every BBS XR alloy wheel carries the unique BBS 3D authenticity hologram. A certificate of authenticity to assure customers they are getting the real thing, and a TUV certificate for the relevant vehicle application are supplied with each wheel.
On sale in the fall, the BBS XR will initially be available with a Platinum Silver Gloss finish in 18-inch sizes to fit popular cars like the Audi A3 and A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, and VW Golf. This will be quickly followed by a special variant for the VW T5 and T6 buses. The subsequent progressive roll out will see 19-inch sizes along with a diamond cut finish added to the range. The recommended retail price of the 18-inch XR wheel starts at 218.96 euros, with the Stainless Steel Collision protection ring as a cost option.
