Firm and uncompromising STOPTECH brake for VW Golf based vehicles

The fact that a braking system tuned without compromises to the vehicle's performance is an essential question needs not any philosophic discussion at this point. That means in plain terms: The more performance at hand, the more efficient the "negative acceleration".

The American STOPTECH company was founded in 1999 and set himself since the enterprise launch as goal to participate in the league of the most important manufacturers and suppliers of braking systems and accessories.

As direct importer of all kind of STOPTECH products, the BBM Motorsport company at Senden (south west of Muenster city in North Rhine-Westphalia) since about two years applies STOPTECH braking systems with good success and best reputations. So, most of the STOPTECH exchange braking systems have a technical components MOT certificate.

With its brand new STOPTECH One-Piece-BBK-brake, BBM Motorsport presents a world first for vehicles with Golf underbody group - Plug & Play. The result: About five meters less of brake path, reached by use of 328 x 25 mm slotted or perforated one piece brake discs, 4-piston fix brake caliper, steel flex pipes and adequate brake pads.

A test over 10 braking actions of two Golf VII-GTI high performance vehicles, each one with KW coilovers, 19" aluminum rims and equal tires in head-to-head record - the one with serial braking system, the other one with one-piece STOPTECH brake - has shown the following measuring results as presented in the following overview for wet and dry lane:

GTI serial brake 35,28 m vs. GTI STOPTECH = 29,76 m = 5,51 m less

In total averaged:
GTI with serial brake 36,87 m vs. GTI STOPTECH = 32,40 m = 4,47 m less of brake path.

In order to be totally sure that the new STOPTECH braking system is capable to meet also to the hardest challenges, BBM Motorsport went to the “North loop” track of the Nurburgring motor sports complex with a vehicle having the same braking system, to drive there some laps. The result: The brake keeps braking also after two...three laps one by one with constant braking power!
The price for the braking system is 1,490.00 Euro plus 189.00 Euro for mounting, including professional running-in. Actually, the company offers as introduction action one set of braking pads additionally when ordering a braking system Offer valid until 31.12.2013.

Test drive possible for customers and dealers. Dealer requests, also requests from VAG group car dealers are desired. The brake can also be seen live on the this year motor show on the BBM stand in hall 8-130. There, of course, one can find answers to all kind of questions.

The sports brake system is delivered together with mounting material, MOT certificate and, of course, mounting instruction for each particular vehicle! It is possible, by the way, to print so called wheel measurement patterns to be cut out and put into the rims, in order to ascertain, if the brake matches under the mounted rims.
