Zum 1. November 2010 trat Bianca Marzocca ihr Amt als neue Generalsekretärin der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften an. Sie übernimmt damit die Nachfolge von Eva Regenscheidt-Spies, die seit 2001 an der Spitze der Akademieverwaltung stand und zum 31. Oktober 2010 in Ruhestand ging.
