ISA and PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL sign cooperation agreement
(PresseBox) (Leverkusen, )ISA, headquartered in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA, is an international member association that covers industrial automation and technology. Its members include both vendors and users of electrical and process control devices and systems. ISA pursues a broad range of standardization activities, both on a national and an international level.
PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL e.V. was founded in 2008 as the successor organization to the Project Group "Lists of Properties" (PROLIST). Chemical companies, manufacturers of automation devices and components, suppliers of CAE systems, and universities have joined together in this nonprofit organization to standardize machineprocessable XML descriptions in the form of lists of properties enabling seamless electronic data interchange between planners, manufacturers and maintenance engineers. The lists of properties are published in the NAMUR Recommendation 100 (NE 100) and channeled into IEC standards for international standardization.
PROLIST® and ISA intend to cooperate in the drafting of properties and lists of properties. The cooperation further extends to the joint drafting of international standards at IEC on the basis of lists of properties from the NE 100 while taking into account the TR20 Spec Sheets issued by ISA.
