Neue Marke von Bayer MaterialScience für Polycarbonatverscheibung im Automobilbau

Die Daimler AG und Bayer MaterialScience AG arbeiten bei der Automobilverscheibung aus Polycarbonat (PC) künftig noch stärker als bisher zusammen. Im Rahmen der von Bayer MaterialScience angebotenen Kompetenzen unter der Marke "BayVision" prüft Daimler weitere Einsatzmöglichkeiten von PC-Verscheibungen und lotet diese Technologie für kommende Serienfahrzeuge aus. Die Vorteile des PC-Glazings sieht das Stuttgarter Unternehmen dabei hauptsächlich in der Gewichtseinsparung und dem dadurch reduzierten CO2-Ausstoß. Hinzu kommen Designfreiheit und einfachere Funktionsintegration.
