Der Nürnberger Anbieter von Antriebs- und Automatisierungslösungen Baumüller stellt seinen Kunden Feldbusbibliotheken zur Verfügung, die den Programmieraufwand senken und damit die Time-to-market verkürzen.

Baumüller möchte den Konstrukteuren maximale Flexibilität bieten und macht seine Produkte daher fit für eine große Anzahl an Echtzeit-Ethernet-fähigen Feldbussen. Neben EtherCAT bietet Baumüller folgende Feldbusse als Slave: VARAN, EtherNet/IP, Sercos, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, POWERLINK und CANopen.

Für VARAN und in Kürze auch für weitere Feldbusse, darunter POWERLINK und PROFINET IRT, hat Baumüller nun Bibliotheken mit vorprogrammierten Bausteinen gefüllt, die alle notwendigen Bewegungen, von Standard-Motion-Control nach PLCopen über Coordinated Motion bis hin zu Advanced Motion, sowie Sonderfunktionen abbilden.
