Preliminary business figures for 2014 - Basler continues its course of strong growth

BASLER AG, one of the leading global manufacturers of cameras for industry and video surveillance applications, is releasing preliminary figures for fiscal year 2014 today.
The group's sales increased in fiscal year 2014 by 22 % to EUR 79.2 million (previous year: EUR 65.1 million). Incoming orders increased by 21 % to EUR 82.7 million (previous year: EUR 68.6 million). The gross profit margin amounted to 51.8 % (previous year: 49.9 %). The earnings before taxes increased by 42 % to EUR 11.1 million (previous year: EUR 7.8 million). The pre-tax margin increased to 14 % (previous year: 12 %). With these results the company's forecast communicated to the capital market has been achieved at the upper end.
The cash flow from operations developed very well and increased to EUR 16.0 million (previous year: EUR 12.1 million; +32 %). The free cash flow calculated as the sum of cash flows from operations and cash flow for investments reached a value of EUR 7.4 million (previous year: EUR 5.6 million, +32 %).
With these results, Basler AG exceeds its previous business year's record values and achieved by far its best results in the history of the company.
Due to a major contract, the first weeks of the financial year 2015 started off very positively and it can already be said that the first quarter will be particularly strong with correspondingly good results compared to the previous years'.
These provisional figures are awaiting final approval by the auditors and the supervisory board. The definitive figures for fiscal year 2014, the annual report for 2014, and the forecast for fiscal year 2015 will be released on March 24, 2015.
