Basler AG reports annual forecast for 2017: The company expects strong growth in 2017
(PresseBox) (Ahrensburg, )Based on the good order backlog at the turn of the year as well as the very strong incoming orders in the first three months of the new fiscal year, the Basler group expects sales revenues to increase to EUR 120 - 130 million in fiscal year 2017. On the earnings side, the company plans a pre-tax return rate of 13 - 15 % depending on the sales development.
Incoming orders in the first three months developed significantly above expectations and above the strategic growth target of 15 %. The company assumes to generate incoming orders of more than EUR 50 million in the first quarter. This is more than double the incoming orders compared to Q1 2016. All sales regions show considerable growth with again a disproportionate growth development in Asia. The strong demand is mainly due to high investments in the electronics industry. Furthermore, bottlenecks in materials and production lead to increasing delivery times and these, in turn, to earlier order placements. It is expected that this overheating will cool down soon and incoming orders will come back to a normal level in the second quarter.
Given the high momentum in the sales markets and the limited visibility of business development in the second half-year, the current range of the sales corridor is relatively broad. The management strives for giving a more precise corridor in the course of the fiscal year.
Tomorrow, on March 31, 2017, the company will publish its annual report 2016.
