Barix Brings Cost-Effective IP Solutions for Audio Distribution and Security to Integrated Systems Europe
IP-based devices give systems integrators new alternatives for entertainment and security applications
Barix recently introduced the Annuncicom 1000, a professional grade device that combines intercom, paging and IP-based audio conversion for PA system playback into a half-width 19-inch, rack mountable box. For entertainment applications, the Annuncicom 1000 is ideal for multiroom audio distribution in hotels, clubs, sports venues, and restaurants where there is a need to relay audio to multiple rooms from a central point. Eight relay contact closures can be used to distribute audio to specific speaker sets, or "zones" for improved control.
The Annuncicom 1000 is also ideal for integration into complex, professional intercom and paging environments. Security system operators at universities, business campuses, shopping districts, industrial facilities, airports or transportation centers can route voice and contact closures to PA systems for playback of live or recorded voice announcements, and ensure that the messages are instantly broadcast across the entire facility loud and clear.
All Barix Annuncicom products deliver the company’s trademark cost-efficiency and unrivaled flexibility, and are ideal for deployment over standard IP, or Ethernet network infrastructures to any number of locations. Annuncicom devices can function autonomously with other Barix products for a PC-FREE solution, or connect directly to a PC, should the operational system require it. The Annuncicom product family continues to grow in depth and capability, recently incorporating SIP compatibility and live voice over IP for paging, telephone and automated announcements.
Barix will also display its Instreamer IP audio encoding, Exstreamer IP audio decoding and Barionet IP automation products. All Barix devices interoperate to fit the requirements of a user’s application, from music transmission and distribution in multi-room environments to intercom functionality, monitoring and access control in security applications. All Barix devices can be programmed to suit an end-customer's requirements; Barix makes its BCL programming environment freely available to all, enabling Systems Integrators to easily tailor sample applications to their customers' specific needs. Local control, audio relay, and low-latency streaming are a few examples of custom programs using Barix’s BCL software environment.
All Barix products are inexpensive, low-power devices that are scalable to the growth of the operation; offer reliability through a PC-FREE design with no moving parts; and serve as a flexible platform for integration into virtually any operation requiring audio transport and delivery.
