Im August 2008 startete die Testphase, seit kurzem ist jetzt das Dienstleistungs-Angebot von Clavid als Teil der Public-Service Strategie von AXSionics voll funktionsfähig und für jedermann nutzbar. Mit der Integration des AXSionics Internet Passports und OpenID(TM) stellt Clavid eines, auf biometrische Benutzer-Daten basierendes Single Sign-On System (SSO) zur Verfügung, und bietet so grösstmögliche Sicherheit bei der Benutzer- Identifikation für OpenID-unterstützende Web-Services im Internet.

OpenID(TM) kurz und bündig: Täglich werden im Internet diverse Web-Services mit unterschiedlichen Benutzer-ID's und Passwörtern verwendet.
