AXIT's cooperation with seafreight portal INTTRA facilitates cross-carrier management of global logistics chains
Connection of two platforms allows for new quality of flow of data along the entire supply chain
With this cooperation AXIT now also comprehensively integrates the entire seafreight business and offers an enhanced product range with the smooth integration of shipowners via INTTRA. In return INTTRA's customers profit from the existing AXIT network: shipowners connected to the seafreight portal can use AX4 to retrieve substantially more shipment data which already exists in an automated form.
"With this cooperation our customers have instant access to the globally leading seafreight platform. They can retrieve information on their transports and have continuous transparency for the seafreight transport including pre- and after-carriage", Frauke Heistermann, member of AXIT's management, comments the central advantage. Through networking AX4 can supply the INTTRA platform with booking requests and shipment instructions, INTTRA processes, standardizes, formats and passes the data on to the shipowners and then reports confirmations and shipowners' tracking data back to AX4. "This way the shipowners' data for the seafreight transport in AX4 is linked with other data already available on other segments of the transport chain in order to create a complete picture on the transport's progress", says Frauke Heistermann.
Profiting from this are mainly lead logistics providers and shippers with combined land-sea transports. Through AX4 they can map and track all processes across carriers on one platform only. To do this shippers merely need to have one interface with AX4 and no longer have to access a variety of interfaces.
"As the globally leading seafreight network we cooperate with over 30 leading ocean carriers and their respective customers in order to optimize and standardize shipping processes", points out Hans Meindorfner, INTTRA General Manager Europe. "By interacting with the AX4 platform we are able to offer our customers additional services for procurement logistics, supply chain event management and global workflows."
