Submissions requested for the AVK Innovation Award 2016
The AVK awards innovations in the field of Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRP) / Composites

- Innovative processes/procedures
- Particularly attractive FRP employer

The AVK Innovation Award aim to promote the development of new products/components and applications using fibre reinforced plastics as well as new procedures and processes for manufacturing these FRP products. A further award will be presented to universities and institutes for outstanding work in the area of scientific research while a further category recognises a particularly attractive FRP employer. The key evaluation criteria in this category are achievements in human resources management, corporate culture and occupational health and safety. "Sustainability" is another important aspect of each submission considered by the judges.
The AVK Innovation Award aims to recognise both, the innovations and the people and institutions responsible for them with the goal of raising public awareness of the achievements of the sector as a whole.
The closing date for submission documents is 8 April 2016 .

The award ceremony will take place during the 2nd International Composites Congress (ICC) from 28 – 29 November 2016 at the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf in conjunction with the COMPOSITES EUROPE Trade Fair (29.11.– 1.12.2016).
The AVK, as the German professional association for fibre composite plastics/composites, represents the interests of producers and processors of reinforced plastics/composites on a national and a European level.
Its services include organisation of task forces, seminars and conferences as well as providing market relevant information (www.avk-tv.de).
The AVK is one of the four national pillars of the GKV - Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie and an international member of the European composites confederation EuCIA - the European Composites Industry Association.
The AVK is a foundation member of Composites Germany.
