Featuring everything from unconventional Audi dealers in China to an special Audi service in Russia or the TDI clean diesel road trip right across the United States, the Audi 2008 Annual Report views the world of the Audi Group from a different angle, through the eyes of renowned writers and photographers. Award-winning young authors narrate their "local stories" about the metropolises Montreal, Sydney and Cape Town. The financial section documents the impressive figures from Audi's 13th successive record year. The Report is published at today's Annual Press Conference.

The Audi Annual Report investigates the many facets of the recurring theme of "Vorsprung" in 20 exciting stories: For instance, the incredible ease and precision with which star tenor Juan Diego Flórez scales the heights of his art - and conquers the hearts of critics and classical music fans alike. Clint Eastwood has enjoyed a dazzling career as an actor in countless roles. And the Hollywood legend has latterly been even more successful as a director of movies of remarkable caliber. His secret: authenticity.

Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, meets Ambra Medda, the Director of Design Miami, at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, where they discuss progressive design and their penchant for the unconventional. Board Member of Finance and Organisation, Axel Strotbek and economics professor Max Otte debate opportunities amid the crisis, and the healing power of clear rules for international economic activity.

Three award-winning young authors portray their home cities for the Audi 2008 Annual Report through the captivating medium of the short story. These "local stories" about Montreal, Sydney and Cape Town take the form of a separate booklet. Audi models complete a photographic itinerary in accompanying the reader on their journey through these charismatic global cities.

A whistle-stop tour of the brand's 100 years highlights Audi models that wrote automotive history. The engine sounds of the most illustrious production models have been compiled on a CD enclosed with the Annual Report - an audio experience with a difference, ringtone inclusive.

This year, the Audi Annual Report comes with three different front covers: The Audi Q5, R8 V10 and A5 Cabriolet each adorn one of three different color print runs of the Audi 2008 Annual Report, making them eminently collectable pieces of automotive memorabilia.

Audi first explored the novel concept of an annual report comprising magazine and financial section in 2005. Last June, the Audi 2007 Annual Report was voted the best annual report of the year by Forum Corporate Publishing e.V. The "BCP Best of Corporate Publishing Award" is the biggest competition for corporate communications in Europe.

The 2008 Audi Annual Report is published in a total print run of 100,000 copies, in the languages German, English and Chinese. Alongside the print version, an interactive online version takes the reader on a fascinating virtual trip through the world of Audi and the Annual Report. At, the stories in the magazine section can now also be enjoyed in a new light, in audio and video formats: Experience a high-speed drive round the Nürburgring in the Audi R8 or get a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes at quattro GmbH, to discover how it delivers precisely what Audi customers want from an almost unlimited range of custom options. -End- Photographs and further information are available at
