C4-4090-GigE. The new high-speed 3D camera with ultra-high resolution
The integrated C4 processors detect the height-profile of the measured surface with a sub-pixel precision of up to 1/64 of a pixel without losing speed. This is why this new 3D camera is particularly suitable for three-dimensional applications that require high speed and high precision during the scanning of large objects.
For example, for high-resolution applications using several 3D-cameras in a parallel arrangement, the use of a C4-4090 camera represents savings of two or up to four conventional 3D cameras. This means that this type of applications become not only more compact, but also more attractive in terms of price.
Another advantage of this new camera model is the use of a global shutter that makes the simultaneous exposure of all pixels possible, enabling the 3D detector to captures sharp and undistorted images. Furthermore, the C4-4090-gigE supports also the new HDR-3D technology, which enables the readout of the sensor with Multi-Slope and Multi-Frame-Readout. So, the camera can reach a dynamic of up to 90dB and is able to scan even materials and surfaces with inhomogeneous reflectivity properties.
Apart from that, the camera has all typical characteristics of the C4-Series, such as a Gibabit-Ethernet interface and it complies also with the GigE-Vision standard. In combination with the GenICam protocol, the integration effort required is reduced significantly. The configuration is done in a very fast and simple way via Plug n' Play and the access to the camera is carried out using standard interfaces, which eliminate the need for camera specific software or libraries.
