Mountain View, 5. Juni 2008 Kurz vor dem Start von Firefox 3 präsentiert Mozilla noch einen zweiten Release Candidate. Auch Firefox RC2 versteht sich als Bindeglied zwischen Beta- und Final-Version und kommt in Funktionsumfang und Performance der finalen Version 3 schon sehr nahe. Mit dem Release Candidate 2 kann man sich mit den neuen Features des bekannten Freeware-Browsers vertraut machen, das Programm testen und der weltweiten Mozilla Community Feedback geben.

Firefox RC2 enthält eine ganze Reihe von Neuentwicklungen und Verbesserungen im Bereich Sicherheit, Benutzerfreundlichkeit, Geschwindigkeit und Personalisierung.
