Arburg stand at Plast trade fair a complete success

Project systems at centre of attention / Arburg demonstrates full versatility of its product range

(PresseBox) (Lossburg, ) At the Plast 2009, which was held in Milan at the end of March 2009, Arburg presented an impressive cross-section of its current product range with applications for the future. Seven exhibits, including three production cells and two energy-efficient Allrounders, awaited trade visitors at the Arburg exhibition stand. Despite the slight drop in visitor numbers to the Plast, Arburg continued to attract enormous interest among trade visitors at the stand.

Having held a large number of specific sales talks, Arburg can be pleased with the results achieved at the trade fair. The volume of direct visitors to the stand increased continuously during the course of the fair, with the last day being the most successful. In addition, Arburg not only succeeded in impressing the visitors with its extensive range of products, but also with an exhibition stand that featured an attractive and functional design concept.

Considering the fact that Italy has also been hit hard by the economic crisis, the general mood among visitors to the trade fair was extremely good. Many visitors came to the fair with specific project inquiries and were interested in working out solutions for implementation together with Arburg.

Although the target group for micro injection moulding is fairly small in Italy, a huge level of interest was shown in the hydraulic Allrounder 170 S, which was used to produce a micro gear wheel. Customers were made aware of the extremely high degree of precision and accuracy that can be achieved with all hydraulic machines from Arburg.

Equally strong interest was shown by automotive and electronics industry representatives in the three-component machine, a hydraulic Allrounder 370 S, which was used to produce an LED lamp with plastic conductor tracks. However, even visitors to the stand who did not come from these sectors showed great interest in the high-tech qualities of Arburg machine technology and the automation options that the machine construction company offers its customers in association with its cooperation partners.

The Plast trade fair can be summarised as follows: All machines and production cells played a decisive role in making Arburg's presence at the Plast 2009 a complete success.

Arburg, a German machine construction company, is one of the leading global manufacturers of injection moulding machines for plastics processing with clamping forces between 125 kN and 5,000 kN. Fields of application include the production of plastic parts for motor vehicles, communications and consumer electronics, medical technology, domestic appliances and packaging. The product range is completed by robotic systems, complex projects and other peripherals. Arburg's operations are coordinated by an integrated management system and are DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. Arburg is represented by its own organisations in 24 countries at 32 locations and by trading partners in more than 50 countries. However, production takes place exclusively in the parent factory in Lossburg (Germany) - with the mark of quality "made by Arburg - made in Germany". From a total of more than 2,000 Arburg employees, around 1,700 work in Germany. About 330 further employees work in Arburg's organisations around the world.
