Arburg at the Plast Avrasya 2012 in Istanbul
- Focus on production efficiency
- High-performance hybrid machines designed for packaging sector
- New productivity package for the proven Golden Edition hydraulic machine series
At the Plast Avrasya 2012, which will take place from 29 November to 2 December 2012 in Istanbul, Arburg will focus on the overarching topic of production efficiency. For this purpose, the company will present two exhibits at its exhibition stand No. 237 in Hall 2: a hybrid Allrounder 720 H in the "Packaging" version with a sophisticated IML application and a representative of the hydraulic Golden Edition machine series, the cost-effectiveness of which can be enhanced by means of a productivity package.
Efficient production means achieving optimum quality at minimum unit cost. For this purpose, all areas and influencing factors must be examined and taken into consideration over the entire value-added chain and an individually-customised injection moulding solution configured in each case. Here, examination of the value-added chain begins with product design and extends across mould, machine and peripheral technology, including configuration, through to process integration, process control and production planning. Arburg possesses sound expertise in all of these areas and is able to comprehensively support its customers in the realisation of efficient moulded part production.
Application-specific: Hidrive in "Packaging" version
At the Plast Avrasya, Arburg will present a highly sophisticated application for the packaging sector. The machine belongs to the high-performance hybrid Hidrive series, which is characterised by high productivity, speed and energy efficiency, and covers a clamping force range from 600 to 5,000 kN. The exhibit, an Allrounder 720 H in the "Packaging" version, is adapted to the application-specific requirements of the packaging sector and features a clamping force of 2,900 kN and a size 1300 injection unit. The high performance of this machine will be impressively demonstrated with a high-speed in-mould labelling application at the trade fair. The exhibit will be equipped with a 4+4-cavity stack mould from Erkoc Mold and will produce thin-walled IML tubs in a cycle time of under five seconds. Insertion of the labels, as well as moulded part removal and set-down will be performed by an IML system from Roboplas.
Proven Golden Edition even more efficient
As a second exhibit, Arburg will present a representative of the proven hydraulic Golden Edition machine series. The Allrounder 470 C Golden Edition with a clamping force of 1,500 kN and size 400 injection unit will produce small boxes with a film hinge. In order to produce the moulded parts cost effectively, the machine is equipped with the productivity package, which Arburg offers for its hydraulic Golden Edition machine series. This package comprises the Arburg energy-saving system (AES) with variable speed pump drive and a water-cooled drive motor. The advantages here are a reduction in energy requirements by up to 20 percent, five percent shorter dry run times and minimised emissions.
