100th Arburg machine delivered to Hirschmann Austria
Milestone in an ongoing successful business relationship
After an introduction to Hirschmann’s corporate strategy by Managing Director Volker Buth, Hirschmann Manager of Plastics Process Technology Christian Kainrath, and Arburg’s Herbert Kraibühler summarised the history of their mutual business dealings and both emphasised that the course is set for a successful joint future. “The 200th machine will be delivered before the next 30 years are over,” predicted Kainrath. Meanwhile, the Austrian company has ordered ten further Allrounders.
Hirschmann – success in the automotive sector
The company, established in 1959 under the name Richard Hirschmann Electronic GmbH, has supplied high-quality electronic parts such as separable connectors, contact systems, wiring harnesses and other wiring components to renowned automotive manufacturers since 1980. A comprehensive quality and environmental management system underscore the company’s voluntary commitment to detail and quality. Long-standing, personal business relationships characterise the Austrian company’s service philosophy. In 2006, a turnover of 94 million euros was achieved with 1290 employees. In addition to the headquarters in Rankweil, a further site was established in Vsetin, Czech Republic, in 2002.
ARBURG in Austria
Having been served by a trading partner for many years, the Austrian market saw the establishment of an Arburg office in Brunn am Gebirge in 2006. Arburg’s decision to create its own organisation stems from a desire to support customers more intensively by integrating the Austrian market into the Arburg organisation, and offering even more effective assistance, particularly with regard to after-sales service. The appreciable gain in terms of customer service lies in more focused support as well as expanded consultancy and service offerings which can be provided within short notice. Austrian customers now have the entire Lossburg service team immediately at their disposal, which minimises coordination costs and consequently lost time, thereby contributing to cost savings for the customer.
