Die Arbeitskammer des Saarlandes begrüßt die angekündigte Schaffung eines unabhängigen Datenschutzzentrums im Saarland. Immer mehr Arbeitnehmer beklagen ernste Verstöße gegen die geltenden Datenschutzgesetze am Arbeitsplatz. "Es ist höchste Zeit, den Arbeitnehmerdatenschutz im Saarland zu verbessern", so die Forderung von Hans Peter Kurtz, Vorstandsvorsitzender der Arbeitskammer. "In der Praxis liegt da vieles im Argen. Das fängt bei Schlampereien in der Personalaktenführung an und endet bei eklatanten Verstößen wie verdeckten Kameras im Umkleidebereich von Beschäftigten", berichtet Kurtz. Der AK-Vorstandsvorsitzende verweist dabei auf die langjährigen Erfahrungen der Datenschutzexperten der Beratungsstelle BEST e.V., einer Tochtereinrichtung der Arbeitskammer und des DGB Saar.
