cOSMo Lite eignet sich besonders für den Einsatz in schwierigen Infrastrukturen. Die kurze Sychronisationszeit (<< 1 Sekunde) und Datenraten von bis zu 1 Mbps (ausreichend für Video) auf nahezu beliebigen Leitungen über mehrere Kilometer prädestinieren cOSMo Lite in Anwendungen wie Türsprecheinrichtungen, in Industrieanlagen, in der Landwirtschaft oder im Bereich erneuerbare Energien.

Ob in Point-to-Point- (PtP) oder Point-to-Multipoint-Topologien (PtmP) kann das Modem über eine UART-Schnittstelle, über SPI, I²C, SSI oder GPIO-Pins von einem beliebigen Mikrocontroller angesprochen werden.

Außerdem hat das cOSMo Lite-Modem eine Audioschnittstelle, die für den Einsatz in Intercoms ideal ist.
