Andritz acquires MAERZ-Gautschi Industrieofenanlagen GmbH

Graz, (PresseBox) - International technology group Andritz has acquired 100% of MAERZ-Gautschi Industrieofenanlagen GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany from Hochtemperatur GmbH, a company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

With annual Sales of approximately 50 million Euros and approximately 40 employees, MAERZ-Gautschi Düsseldorf is one of the world s leading companies for heat treatment plants and melting furnaces. The service and product portfolio comprises engineering, supply, erection, and commissioning of industrial furnaces for the steel industry including peripheral equipment as well as melting plants for the copper industry.

By acquiring MAERZ-Gautschi Industrieofenanlagen GmbH, the Andritz Group further extends its product portfolio in the furnace segment of the Rolling Mills and Strip Processing Lines Business Area. Andritz is a globally leading supplier of complete high-tech lines for production and further processing of cold-rolled strip made of stainless steel, carbon steel, and non-ferrous metals. In processing lines for stainless steel strip, the Andritz Group is one of the very few single-source suppliers worldwide capable of providing all processes (rolling, annealing, pickling, finishing) on a comprehensive basis (mechanical, process, and electrical equipment).
