International technology Group ANDRITZ received an order from Bahru Stainless SHN BHD in Malaysia, a joint venture between Acerinox S. A., Spain and Nisshin Steel, Japan for the supply of stainless steel strip processing equipment including acid regeneration. The order value is approximately 85 MEUR. Production is scheduled to start by the end of 2010.
The order comprises a continuous annealing and pickling line for hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel strip, a skin pass mill, and a mixed acid regeneration plant (Pyromas).
